HERE’S something worthy of your support next week.

The folks at Nolan’s Londis on North Circular Road are hosting a fundraising coffee morning on this Thursday, February 28, in aid of the Kerry Cancer Support Group/Kerry Cork Health Link Bus.

Taking place between 10am and 12noon, visitors can enjoy coffee/tea and some tasty goodies all for a donation to the great cause.

“We’d love to see people call in,” said Vivian Nolan of Nolan’s Londis. “Coffee is on the house but we’d like people to donate something and we’ll also be holding a raffle for a lovely big hamper. It’s such a great cause. Everybody knows someone who has been touched by cancer and the bus provides such an important service for the local community.”

As well as a Cork service, the bus also runs to Limerick hospital five days a week, Monday to Friday, with a pick-up time of 8am from outside St Brendans Church.

“It’s wonderful to have a fundraiser here, just around the corner from the pick-up spot and it also raises awareness of that service,” said Breda Dyland of Kerry Cancer Support Group.

So then, if you’re in the area you’ll know where to go for that coffee on Thursday morning.
