None In Kerry, But 85 More COVID-19 Cases Confirmed Nationally

THERE were no new cases of Coronavirus reported for Kerry this evening, with the total number since the start of the pandemic still at 317.

The number of people who have tested positive for the virus in the Republic of Ireland so far, now stands at 25,027 after 85 new cases were confirmed this evening by the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).

At least eighteen of 26 new cases in Kildare are related to a cluster at a factory in County Kildare. There are 18 more cases in Dublin, 11 in Clare, nine in Laois seven in Limerick, four in Meath and seven in other counties.

There was one additional death from the virus reported this evening in Ireland.  The total number of people who have died after contracting COVID-19 is 1,763 (there were two deaths denotified).
