Norma Moriarty Added To Kerry Fianna Fáil Ticket For Next Election

FIANNA Fáil’s National Constituencies Committee has confirmed the addition of Cllr. Norma Moriarty to the party ticket in the Kerry constituency.

She joins sitting TD and Spokesperson on Primary Care and Community Health, John Brassil. The ticket in Kerry will be kept under review over the next number of months.

Cllr. Moriarty is a native of Waterville, and stood in the 2016 General Election where polled over 4400 first preference votes.

Cllr. Moriarty was first elected to Kerry County Council at the 2014 Local Elections for the South and West Electoral Area. Originally a secondary school teacher, Norma currently works as an English and Learning Support Teacher in Kenmare.

Commenting Cllr. Moriarty said: “I’m thrilled to be selected by Fianna Fáil to contest the next General Election. I’m determined to win a 2nd seat for the party and to join my good friend and colleague, Deputy John Brassil in the Dáil.

“Kerry needs a strong Fianna Fáil team representing it in Dáil Éireann to ensure that it gets the investment it needs to keep it as one of the best places to live and work in the country,” concluded Cllr. Moriarty.
