WELL that was quick.
Normally we have to wait until Saturday or Sunday for the traditional sighting of the Kerry jersey, but two came in the one day at the opening round of the US Masters in Augusta, Georgia, yesterday.
And this is all before Tralee man Aidan Teahan and his wife Eilish head out to the Masters after winning a PaddyPower competition. They’ll have to up the jersey count before the weekend is out.
The sighting of Kerry jerseys over the past number of years has piqued the interest of golf fans in Ireland and predictably, Twitter had a good laugh at the sightings…

With all their weird protocols you’d think The Masters could have banned Kerry jerseys by now. pic.twitter.com/8rZYTxATRT

In my head the entire population of Kerry comes together every year for a special raffle and one lucky winner gets to go the Masters, flight accommodation and jersey included. https://t.co/Ou0o6KF07h
