Performing on the night will be soloist, Miriam Murphy, and The Kerry Choral Union who will be accompanied by their junior choir.

Miriam Murphy from Tralee, is one of the foremost sopranos in the country. Trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London, she has performed at the Royal Albert Hall and won awards across Europe for her singing talent.

“For a lot of people, the singing of ‘Oh Holy Night’ by Miriam Murphy marks the start of the Christmas season,” said Chairman of The Kerry Choral Union, Bill Corcoran.

This is Kerry Choral Union’s biggest event of the year and for a considerable number of years has been held in St John’s on Castle Street. Primarily, the concert will consist of Christmas carols.

“There has been a very good response from previous years and we will be expecting a huge crowd again next year,” said Bill.
