O’Halloran’s Hurling: Could We Get Another Draw On Saturday?

rsz_mike_ohalloranOur hurling analyst, Mike O’Halloran previews this Saturday’s Supervalu Kerry SHC semi-final replay…

The replay of the Garveys Supervalu Kerry Senior hurling championship semifinal takes place on Saturday next in Austin Stacks Park, Tralee.

Lixnaw and St Brendan’s go head to head again in an attempt to separate these two who have a history of draws, replays and tight margin victories.

They say whoever learns more from the drawn game usually wins the replay. I’m sure both management teams are busy scouring the DVDs to try to eke out an edge for Saturday evening.

When Lixnaw view the digital evidence they will surely ask the following questions.

1. How did they miss so many scrabble chances?

2. Will the game stand to the great Brendan Brosnan who was just back from injury for the drawn game?

St Brendan’s have two questions of their own to answer.

1. How did they get into in dire straits until Darren Dineen plucked the strings to get them back into the game?

2. How are they going to get other players onto the scoring sheet to supplement the scoring machine that is John Egan.

If both teams can answer the four questions posed we could have another draw and this time, extra-time.
