ONE hotel in Kerry has made the Top 50 in Travel + Leisure’s 2018 World’s Top 100 Hotels list.
The five-star Relais & Chateaux Sheen Falls Lodge just outside Kenmare town, is rated at No.50 with a score of 95.47/100. The list is regarded as the most prestigious when it comes to rating luxury hotels.
One other Irish hotel was on the list and made No.2 position. The five-star luxury Ballyfin House in Laois came second only to Indonesia’s Four Seasons Resort Bali. Ballyfin House registered 98/100. Ballyfin is No.1 on the magazine’s list of Europe’s Top 10 Resort.
Readers of the magazine were asked to vote for their favourite hotel on facilities, location, service, food, and overall value.
