Orlagh new profile 1ONE of my favourite times of the year is here – Spring has sprung.

I’m writing this week’s column from Cheltenham and have one day behind me. I think yesterday will be forever known as “Ruby Tuesday”. What a magnificent start to the festival for Mr Walsh.

Bookmakers all over the land are down on their knees thanking God that Ruby didn’t clean them out onboard Annie Power. The word over here this morning is that he will have a few more winners today.

Everyone asks for tips and I think we all know that Cheltenham is like a lottery, in one race yesterday I had tips for four of the runners.

This year is champion jockey AP McCoy’s last festival and I really hope that he has a winner during the week. He is an incredible ambassador for the sport and he will be sorely missed when he finally hangs up his britches.

As usual yesterday, the wives supplied the glamour element, Gillian Walsh and Chanelle McCoy looked beautiful and were once again supporting Irish milliners wearing Mark T Burke creations.

Mark T Burke’s collection is a must see. Gillian was sporting the most magnificent ring from her Diamond Lite collection, check it out on Facebook.

I was also supporting Irish yesterday with a Tina Griffin outfit and a beautiful headpiece by Elizabeth Christina Designs, ECD was last years winner at The International Rose of Tralee Fashion Show.

There is something very special about the Cheltenham Festival and it is great to hear all the Irish accents. Hopefully today we will have a few more winners and Mr Mullins will have Irish eyes smiling again.

I’m not going to give any tips, I’ll leave that to the experts plus I’ll avoid being lynched if they don’t come in.

Hopefully there will be lots of winners in the style stakes today too.

Until next week,

Stay stylish!

Orlagh xx
