THE Tralee Tourism Kiosk will be back on The Mall for the summer season from next Monday thanks to Tralee Chamber and the 30 plus volunteers who are giving their time to help visitors to the town.

Some of them gathered in The Square on Friday where they were briefed on what the role entails and welcomed by Billy Nolan who is organising the volunteers this year.

The kiosk will be open seven days a week from 9am to 6pm. Thanks to NEWKD there will be a laptop available for volunteers to access additional information visitors may need.

Ken Tobin of Tralee Chamber says the kiosk is needed now more than ever.

“We’re very disappointed that the Fáilte Ireland tourist office is not opening again this year in Tralee and this makes the kiosk even more important for visitors in the town to access all the events and activities available,” he said.

“We’d like to thank Billy Nolan of Nolan’s and Hilsers Jewellers who’s facilitating and organising all of the volunteers for us and the 30 plus volunteers who are giving their time this season,” added Ken.

There will be information booklets and maps available and people will be encouraged to download the Tralee app for the self-guided tours and trails.

Also, some of the volunteers will be holding their own walking historic trails around the town, starting from the kiosk and PPE will also be provided to all volunteers.
