Over €106k In Funding For Kerry Parents And Friends Association

KERRY Parents and Friends Association will receive €106,900 from the Strengthening Disability Services Fund.

Kerry Parents and Friends Association (KPFA) provides residential, respite and day care services to adults with intellectual disabilities across Killarney, Listowel, Rathmore, Castleisland, Tralee and Cahersiveen.

The Strengthening Disability Services Fund is on top of the additional €100 million delivered in Budget 2021. Education Minister and Kerry TD Norma Foley has welcomed the announcement.

The one-off grants are being provided to reform disability services and to improve the quality of life of those who rely on these services and this much needed funding will provide building works and refurbishment to the KPFA.

Minister Foley commented: “I welcome the news that €106,900 in funding has been awarded to a vital Kerry voluntary organisation that is at the heart of the community. This government funding will help the wonderful community at the Kerry Parents and Friends Association improve their facilities in a real and tangible way.”
