FUNDING of €3,266,915 has been announced for Munster Technological University (MTU) to support green initiatives and increase accessibility for students.
The funding can be used to support universal access; energy efficiency and decarbonisation; to help students access laptops and other essential equipment; upgrading buildings and other minor works.
Welcoming the announcement, Minster for Education and Kerry Fianna Fáil TD Norma Foley said: “This vital investment will ensure that MTU continues to lead the way in terms inclusivity and accessibility for all people.

“This significant tranche of funding will also provide extra resources for students to access laptops and key Information and Communication Technology (ICT).”
The funding forms part of ongoing investment in the higher education sector under Project Ireland 2040.
