FUNDING of €91,900 will go towards supporting and improving 41 walking trails across Kerry.

The funding is being provided as part of Our Rural Future, the Government’s ambitious policy for rural development.

Under the initiative, grants of €1,000 – €3,000 will be provided to 41 Kerry community groups responsible for managing the trails throughout rural Ireland.

The groups, which include the Skellig Monks Trail, the John F Leslie Woodland Walk and the Dingle Way (full list below), will be able to use the grant to maintain and improve their local trail and promote its use to visitors.
