A CHEQUE for over €1,500 was presented to Recovery Haven on Tuesday thanks to the efforts of a local community in mid Kerry.

A Christmas-themed coffee morning was held in Cromane Community Centre back in December, organised by the Cromane Parent and Toddler Group and raised €1,563.

“Recovery Haven is a great service and has an outreach centre in Killorglin, so we’d like to see that develop and continue,” said Annette Horgan of the group.

“Every penny that comes in has to be fundraised so anything like this is fantastic, it’s a great amount to be raised at a coffee morning,” said Marisa Reidy, Marketing Officer at Recovery Haven, thanking all who contributed to the fundraiser.
