TRALEE Parnells has reached many milestones over their short history since the club was reformed in 2012 and Friday saw a huge step towards another one which would be the re0-intrduction of adult camogie in Tralee.

Speaking at the launch in The Meadowlands Hotel, Carmel O’Shea Moloney, the club’s Camogie C0-Chairperson, said there is a demand for the sport among adults in the town.

“We feel the demand is there. We’ve over 100 youngsters coming through and our eldest group will be 18 next year and we have many more people who are asking about it. We’ve  ITT students, people who have moved to town for work and who want to transfer from their clubs at home and there’s ex-players who have taken time off for various reasons, so it’s a perfect storm of interest at the moment. The response we’ve had on social media to tonight’s event has been amazing,” said Carmel.
