FENIT RNLI are asking cycling enthusiasts to come out and support them on Saturday, May 11.

That’s the day they will hold their 16th annual cycle. This year’s event has two options for cyclists. There will be the traditional 50km route and a new 80km route. Both options will start and finish at O’Donnells in Mounthawk.

“All funds raised form the event will go directly to support the Fenit Lifeboat service,” said Fenit Lifeboat Fundraising Manager Mike O’Connor.

“Lifeboat t-shirts will be presented to all participants and O’Donnell’s in Mounthawk will provide refreshments after the cycle. We are hoping to cater for our cyclists by offering an additional extended route this year. You can help by taking part or by sponsoring one of the cyclists or making a contribution on the day which is very much appreciated,” said Mike.

Registration for the event is from 8.30am while the cycle itself starts at 9.30am. There is a minimum contribution of €40.
