FOUR GAA venues in Tralee will play host to games during the ‘PhoneWatch Comórtas Peile Páidí Ó Sé 2015’ from February 20-22.

John Mitchel’s facilities in Ballyseedy welcome the ladies senior competition while Caherslee and Mercy Mounthawk will jointly host the Intermediate Ladies Competition.

A number of games in the men’s junior and intermediate competitions are set to take place in St Pat’s GAA grounds in Blennerville.

The competition is centered around the Dingle peninsula, with matches also set for Dingle, Castlegregory, Gallarus, Annascaul and Lispole.

The competition has attracted over 10,000 club players since it began in 1989. It has grown into a major international GAA event with senior, intermediate and junior clubs travelling this year from 11 different counties as well as Madrid, Brussels and parts of England.

The festival of football also includes nightly music and entertainment and an annual photographic exhibition.

Páidí Ó Sé sadly passed away in December 2012, he collected eight All-Ireland senior winning medals with Kerry and captained the county to All-Ireland glory in 1985. The Ventry native would also go on to manage two Kerry All-Ireland winning teams in 1997 and 2000.
