KERRY’S Paul Geaney has been named Munster GAA Footballer of the Year for 2016.

He scored five points in the Munster semi final against Clare and hit 2-3 against Tipperary in the Munster final, winning Man Of the Match.

He played well in the quarter final victory over Clare and was Kerry’s best player against the Dubs in the semi-final in August scoring 1-5. He also won his first All Star award.

Geaney, who made his championship debut with the Kingdom in 2013 against Cavan, has already scored 6-48 in 17 championship appearances in the green and gold.
