Representing the event organising committee at the launch of the Paul Lucy Run/Walk in Connolly Park were Mags O’Regan Quillinan, Eileen Nagle, Tim McMahon and Niall Lucey, with Tadhg Lucey.
THE 2020 Paul Lucey Run/Walk for the Rock is going virtual this year, with people encouraged to take to the roads on from Saturday, October 31 or Sunday, November 1.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic and the lack of the usual fund-raising activities, the event has more significance now and is being held to help raise much needed funds for the running and upkeep of the Austin Stacks Club and Facilities.
People out walking and running can upload their pics and videos to the Austin Stacks Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages.

The late Paul Lucey, who passed away in December 2017, had a great love of fitness and wellbeing and with this in mind the Stacks club are hoping to encourage as many kids, teenagers, parents and grandparents, friends and family members to get out the door over the Bank holiday weekend to run or walk 5k or 10k keeping them fit and healthy and positive during this difficult time and at the same time help in raising much need funds for the Austin Stacks.
