TRALEE athlete Shona Heaslip and Radio Kerry’s Deirdre Walsh were on hand on Thursday evening to help launch the annual Kerry Hospice Good Friday Walks around the county.

They will take place in various locations including Killarney, Killorglin, Inch, Listowel, the Spa and Tralee to name but a few.

The Tralee walk will begin from The Grand Hotel at 10am on Friday, March 30. Walkers in the 22nd annual event will remember the late Ted Moynihan who passed away last month.

After the walk there will be tea and scones in The Grand Hotel for the participants. All funds raised will go towards the upkeep of the new 15-bed Palliative Care Unit.

Organisers are encouraging everyone to come out with their families and get active in the enjoyable event for a great cause and donate on the day.
