THE price of petrol and diesel has come down by around four cents in many stations in town over the past seven weeks.
In our regular check on the prices of fuel, it shows a number of garages reduced their prices recently, with €1.27.5 (€1.17.5 for diesel) the cheapest price shared by three stations — Applegreen, Fairies Cross, Applegreen, Manor Village and Monavalley Service Station — with most of the rest less than a half a cent behind.
Texaco in Oakpark is five cents per litre dearer for petrol and two cents dearer for diesel than the cheapest station.
Back in January the cheapest price was €1.32.8 and €1.23.8 so that’s a five cent drop per litre since the start of the year in many garages. See the full list of prices below (cheapest first)…
