LLOYDS Pharmacy has bought Ryle and DeLacy Pharmacies in Fairies Cross and Ashe Street.

The chemist stores were sold to the British chain two weeks ago for an undisclosed figure but, according to Michael Ryle, it’s business as usual.

“Cathal [DeLacy] and I are still here, that won’t change,” said Michael. “It’s a very positive move and it just means we can offer even better services to our customers. Lloyds employ nearly 1,000 people and they have great buying power. Customers can expect better products and more discounts in the future.”

“It’s a compliment that they bought us. They don’t just buy any pharmacies, we have great locations and a reputation for great service,” said Michael.

The facade and interior will stay the same for now but after Christmas, the people from Lloyds will be changing the signage and making changes to the interior.

Lloyds has 86 stores in Ireland but plans to increase this number to 150 in the next four years.
