ONE down, two to go.

Kerry will have a tougher task next week when they face Donegal in Croke Park, but yesterday was the most important of the three games in the ‘Super 8′ series for Kerry.

There were star peformances from O’Brien, Clifford, Moran, Foley and others, but it was the real team effort in the 1-22 to 0-15 win which gives great heart to fans for next Sunday and must bolster the players’ confidence.

Not only have Kerry momentum now, they are also likely to see far more fans from the Kingdom in the stands of Croke Park willing to make the journey.

A defeat to Mayo would have deflated the county, but all has utterly changed and with the big points difference, Kerry can all but make sure of a semi-final place if the beat the Ulster side. Get those tickets early!
