A WIN is a win.
That’s one of the few positive aspects take from last night’s game in Tralee as Kerry took the points in a turgid match under the lights.
Another was Stefan Okunbor’s performance. The Na Gaeil man was consistent and comfortable in the defence, which was put under pressure at times by a workmanlike Armagh side.
Jason Foley and Barry Dan O’Sullivan were also impressive but the football wasn’t pretty and it took two late points from substitutes Tony Brosnan and Donal O’Sullivan to seal a 0-12 to 0-11 win in front of the 11,603 spectators.
With a trip to Tyrone beckoning, Kerry really needed the victory to put points on the board. Scroll down for photos…
