TraleeToday.ie’s coverage of the Rose Ball is brought to you by AIB Tralee…
THE rain lashed and the wind howled outside, but in the Dome they partied.
The Rose Ball was another swish affair and bigger than ever on Friday night, with over 1,400 well-dressed ladies and gents attending.
Many enjoyed drinks in The Rose Hotel before adjourning to the Dome for the main event, just in time before the heavens opened. So what did they get for their €125 a head ticket?
Well the good folk at Brook Catering had a tasty menu for the evening. For starters they had a choice of ‘Clonakilty Black Pudding Croquette, Spiced Apple Puree’, ‘Ardsallagh Goats Cheese, Toasted Pine Nut and Basil Parfait, Beetroot Puree’ or ‘Citrus Cured Salmon Wasabi Creme Fraiche’.

This was followed by ‘Prosecco Sorbet with Apple and Toasted Almond Salsa’. The mains were ‘Grilled Fillet of Steak, Braised Feather Blade, Fondant Potato, Madeira Jus, Red Onion Puree’, or ‘Pan Fried Fillet of Salmon Prawn. Fresh Herb Crust and Fennel Cream Sauce’.
And for dessert…’Set Kerry Cream, Red Berry Jelly, Raspberry Sorbet, Mini Pavlova, Lemon Gel’. It all sounds yum. All washed down with plenty of wine of course.
There was great entertainment too and more fun than was healthy was had by all present.
The style there was incredible as always and we took around 70 photos which we’ll be showing you today and tomorrow. Scroll down for the first batch of photos…
