IT was great fun out in the Ballyroe Heights Hotel on Friday night as teams took part in a very different type of fundraiser.
The Family Gameshow, in aid of Recovery Haven, was based loosely on popular television shows “Family Fortunes” and “Mr & Mrs” and saw families from various parts of the county competing against each other.
Sinn Fein’s Martin and Toireasa Ferris took part in the fun, as did Mayor Of Tralee Terry O’Brien as teams of four were put through their paces.

The nine families taking part on the night were; The O’Halloran Family, Ardfert; The Daly Family, Tralee; The O’Brien Family, Tralee; The Ferris Family, The Spa; The Collins Family, Kilmoyley; The Lyons Family, Listowel; The Carey Family, Tralee; The Wallace Family, Ardfert; The Glavin Family, Abbeydorney.
The gameshow included some interesting general knowledge questions before testing each family on how well they really know each other, with Radio Kerry’s Andrew Morrissey proving a great host on the night.
There were also great spot prizes for the audience on the night. In the end it was the Collins Family team from Kilmoyley who scored the most points to win the gameshow.
The event raised much needed funds for the daily running of the free services provided by the Cancer support house based in Killerisk, Tralee. Scroll down for photos…
