FRIDAY saw glamour, style and a whole lot of fun at ‘The Island’ as Ladies day was another resounding success in Listowel.
There wasn’t a hair or beauty appointment able to be made in north Kerry on Friday morning as over 20,000 people converged on the course on an afternoon where ladies from all over the county and beyond got dressed to impress.
In the end, a Ballyhahill lady, Bríd Hayes, scooped the Best Dressed Lady prize of €3,000, with Annmarie Blennerhassett from Tralee named first runner-up winning €1,000.
The rain stayed away, which made for ideal conditions for capturing the style on camera.
