THE weather stayed fine on Sunday afternoon for the annual Ardfert Kids Cycle with over 60 people taking part.
They gathered at Ardfert National School before noon with music and refreshments laid on by the organisers and a great community atmosphere evident.
Principal Betty Stack waved the red flag to set them on the way with families having the option of a 5km or 10km cycle. When they returned from their chosen route they were presented with medals and a treat bag.
Principal Betty Stack said she was very happy with how the day went.
“We were blessed with the day and delighted with the young ones who stepped up to the plate. They were so excited. It’s all to encourage a healthy lifestyle. I want to thank all the volunteers who give their time and energy so generously and to the parents of course.” Scroll down for photos…
