THOUSANDS of euro was raised on Saturday as about 100 walkers took the road out west for the Jamie Wrenn/Mike Deane Memorial walk in aid of the Recovery Haven cancer support facility.
This year’s event was the last after seven years of walks with have raised in excess of €95,000 for a number of cancer charities across Kerry.
It was all done in honour of two very special men who devoted their time to helping charitable causes.
The walkers left Tralee’s Aquadome at 10am, on to Curraheen for a brief stop off, then onto The Junction Bar in Camp for refreshments, after which walkers went on to the Seven Hoggs for a brief stop before finishing up at Maurice Fitzgerald’s Bar in Castlegregory for a BBQ, live music and plenty of celebrations.
