A WARM welcome was extended to all who visited a Tralee post-primary school last night for their open evening.

Coláiste Gleann Lí invited all 5th and 6th class primary school students and their parents/guardians to get a feel for the school and show all it has to offer for prospective students’ education and personal development.

The school, which is located at the Clash Road, has seen increased enrolment in recent years and it’s easy to see why. In fact, a €1.1million extension opened back in 2019 to cater for the steadily increasing enrolments at Junior and Senior Cycle for the Junior and Leaving Certificate.

Guests had an opportunity to meet the staff and view the state-of-the-art facilities, with expert guidance in the shape of the current students who showed great interpersonal skills and were in themselves, a great advertisement for the school.

The school boasts an on-site astro-turf pitch, a multi-media space and excellent ICT facilities, is a leader in Robotics and offers the full range of technology-based subjects: Engineering, Applied Technology, Wood Technology and Graphics.

This is in addition to English, Irish, Mathematics, French, Art, PE, CSPE, SPHE, Wellbeing, Home Economics, Science, ICT (Computer studies) and a range of new Junior Certificate short courses.
