THE Square resounded with the sounds of music group Oracle on Saturday as part of the 10th birthday celebrations for Aine’s Cafe.
Aine Collins decided to thank her customers who have supported her over the years with free food, wine and entertainment.
“The day is going fantastic, there’s a really great atmosphere around the place, the weather has stayed fine,” said owner, Aine Collins.
“It’s really to thank our customers over the years with wine and food laid on, music outside, face-painting and a DJ later,” said Aine.
It’s been a great ten years for Aine’s which started business just after the pedestrianisation of the Square all those years ago.
“I got the keys ten years ago today. When we opened first it was during the boom times and there were a couple of tough years after that, but we’re very lucky as we have great customer support – they’re our bread and butter really,” said Aine.
The celebrations continued into the evening and Aine looked forward to many more years in the Square.
