THE countdown is on.

The John Mitchels club has run a fantastic ‘Strictly’ fundraiser for the past couple of years, but this time they’ve turned their attention to a Lip Sync event to be held in Ballygarry House Hotel on the October Bank Holiday weekend.

The acts are currently in training for the event, which takes place on Sunday, October 28 at 8pm (doors open 6pm) and under the experienced eye of Ms. Jackie O’Mahony, choreographer. The winning act will be donating their prize money to a charity of their choice.

Some of the acts include: George Lowe; Donna Flaherty; Nadia Woods; Aileen Galvin, Debbie Guerin, Wayne Enright, Jordan Bowler; Jonathan O’Halloran, Akeem Molloy, Mikey Walsh, James Duggan; Rosemary Broderick, Cliona Caplis & Sorcha Finnegan; Michael O’Donovan, Elaine Conway, Liz Nickleson, Gail Lowe; Denis Mannix, Mary Higgins.

When it comes to judges,  the John Mitchels club have secured the expertise of  well know PR guru and broadcaster John Drummey; Cllr Terry O’Brien; beauty blogger Mary O’Donnell and Anne O’Donnell of Siamsa fame who knows a thing or two about dancing.

Again, Brian Hurley will be the accomplished MC on the night. The money raised from the Lip Syng will be used for the development of the Club both at Juvenile and Senior level and also prize-money will be donated to a charity chosen by the winning act. Tickets information will follow on social media.
