THE annual Tony O’Donoghue Memorial Walk was another great success at the weekend raising thousands of euro for Breast Cancer Ireland.

Participants registered throughout Saturday at the Blennerville Windmill car park before heading off on a walk.

There was also a raffle later that evening in Skelper Quane’s for a  number of prizes including two JP McManus Pro-Am golf caps, a pink child’s car, a €200 holiday voucher sponsored by 2Beans In A Box and a signed Kerry jersey.

Andrea O’Donoghue, who organises the event annually in memory of her dad, said she was totally blown away by the generosity of everyone who took part in the walk and bought raffle tickets.

She thanked Quane’s for their support, Seamus O’Sullivan for donating the burgers for the BBQ on Saturday, Mick Murphy for DJing, Joan Devane, Una Lynch, Niamh Switzer for the cakes and everyone else for their support.

Between donations for the walk and the raffle, the event raised over €4,600 which will go towards Mary Gardiner’s 100k in June fundraiser for Breast Cancer Ireland. Well done to all involved. Scroll down for photos…
