LAST night saw crowds flock to the INEC, Killarney, for the touring stage adaptation of the 1987 Film ‘Dirty Dancing’.

One scene that got a giggle out of the crowd was the iconic lift scene, taking place in the ‘lake’. Baby and Johnny stood nose to nose in a waterless set, with dramatic sound effects, and still, we were left breathless as one of the most charming scenes of the film unfolded.
Katie Hartland, who plays Baby, bears an uncanny resemblance to Jennifer Grey who starred in the original film. And Karl James Wilson, who plays Johnny, left us as captivated and weak at the knees as Swayze did, and definitely wishing we were Baby!
Over 12,000 tickets have been sold so far for the six shows in the INEC, which will run until Saturday March 4. To enquire about ticket availability, call the INEC box office now on 064-6671555. Scroll down for photos…
