“This year’s award ceremony  celebrated the school’s successes and also celebrate the varied achievements of Coláiste Gleann Lí second level students over the past academic year. The awards reflect school policy which strives for the holistic development of each student and will recognise students’ multiple intelligences with specific awards for attendance, diligence, academic improvement, contribution to school life and sport.”

The increase in second level students seeking high quality STEM subjects has contributed to the increased enrolments.

Deputy Principal, Liam McGill explained; “Coláiste Gleann Lí offers modern courses in ICT, Robotics, Programming and Creative Media to prepare students for highly sought after third level courses and careers in these areas. The fruits of the students’ labour in these areas was demonstrated nationally in the 2018 EA Games where two third year students, Kacper Mroczek and Alvaro Moqi scooped the coveted prize for their robotics projects.
