Musicians at the Multicultural Day at Bank Of Ireland in Tralee on Saturday.

A FUN day was had at Bank of Ireland on Castle Street last Saturday as they hosted a Multicultural Day to celebrate the UN World Day for Cultural Diversity.

There was a great atmosphere as music, dancing and refreshments were served up to the many visitors during the afternoon.

Staff members at the branch really got into the spirit of things as local community groups such as Tralee International Resource Centre, Kerry Islamic Outreach Society, St Vincent de Paul Society and the Polish community all got involved on the day.

There was a performance from Yamaha School of Music, Tralee Pipes and Drums, Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Eireann, Chambers School of Dance, as well as African Dancing, African Drumming and Zumba Dancing, while food stalls with a variety of cuisines including Irish, Italian, Polish, Indian, Chinese and African cuisines were served up.

Kids enjoyed face painting, a children’s workshop and Henna tattoos and there was loads of spot prizes given out on the day. Rebecca Ryan from Bank of Ireland in Tralee sent us some photos from the event below…
