FIRST Holy Communion Day finally arrived for the pupils of St Brendan’s NS in Blennerville on Saturday morning.
While the event is usually held in St Brendan’s Church in Curraheen every May/June, we’re living in a different world now and more space was needed to accommodate the children and their families so the celebration moved to St John’s Church.
A dry, sunny day made the day even more enjoyable for the fourth class pupils who were taught by Ms O’Connor before their school year was interrupted back in March.
They were clearly delighted the day had come and afterwards they went away to celebrate with their families. Scroll down for photos…
