CASTLEGREGORY Golf and Fishing Club recently unveiled a plaque to commemorate course designer, the late Dr Arthur G Spring who died in May 2015.

The official unveiling was performed by club captain, Mike Mercer and Julianne Spring, representing the Spring family.

Tom Moriarty, Chairman of Club Management, gave a very informed outline of the Club’s history and the input made by Dr Spring in designing the course.

In the intervening 25 years many changes have taken place but the original course design remains the same, testament to Dr Spring’s vision.
