THERE was a good turnout for the opening of a photography exhibition by a local woman at Tralee Library on Tuesday evening.
Catherine Dolan from Knockmoyle took a course in photography two years ago at Coláiste Gleann Lí taught by Tara Donoghue Laing and her husband Dave.
They’ve certainly proved good tutors as Catherine’s work included some spectacular sunsets, coastal shots and nature photos from Brandon Bay, Muckross, Valentia, Castlegregory and Skellig among other locations in the county.

Catherine said she was delighted with the turnout and thanked everyone who made the exhibition possible, including CH Chemist, Tralee, Kingdom Printers, Tralee, Tralee Physiotherapy and Pilates Clinic, Tralee, and Tralee Library.
Some of the photos were bought on the night with proceeds going to Tralee/West Kerry Branch Of Multiple Sclerosis.
There was also guest speakers, Henry Burrows, Chairman of Tralee/West Kerry Multiple Sclerosis, and Aisling O’Sullivan, from Tralee Physiotherapy and Pilates Clinic, who spoke about exercise and well being.
The exhibition runs daily until February 16 and is well worth a look if you have a love of photography. Scroll down for photos…
