The new all-weather pitch at CBS The Green.
IT’S been a long time coming, but a couple of years of fundraising came to fruition for CBS The Green this week with the opening of their all-weather pitch.
Students have been trying it out all week and it looks very impressive indeed.
It is the final piece of the jigsaw that goes with the new extension, that was completed in late 2012.

Principal of the school, Ms. Anne O’Callaghan, would like to sincerely thank all the sponsors who donated generously to this fine pitch, that will cater for all kinds of sports training , including football , soccer, tag rugby, athletics and hurling and more.
It is equipped with lighting for evening and night usage and the pitch will also be available for hire to outside groups. With the footballers reached the Corn Uí Mhuirí semi-final, it’s certainly been a great week for the school. Scroll down for photos…
