THERE were classic cars of varying ages, styles and sizes taking to the roads on Friday night night for the Kingdom Veteran Vintage & Classic Car Club’s annual Ballymac Vintage Car and Honda 50 Run.
They gathered at O’Riada’s Bar and left after 7pm on a route that took in Farranfore, Currow, Castleisland and back to O’Riada’s for refreshments.
Over 90 vehicles took part and George Glover of the club said they were delighted with the turnout, especially as they had to reschedule the event from a few weeks ago due to bad weather.
“Everything went according to plan beyond our expectations and we ended up raising €2,065 for Down Syndrome Kerry. We want to thank everyone who took part from far and wide and those who helped with organising the night,” said George.
This was the eighth year of the event and all funds raised — including from a bucket donation collection that evening — will benefit Down Syndrome Kerry. Scroll down for photos…
