A TRALEE physiotherapist was in the Town Park again at lunchtime to encourage people to take part in the ‘Lunchtime Mile’.

Dr Corinne Evans, based in High Street, organised the first event last month and is hoping people will get active during the summer months while the weather is dry and the Park is looking so beautiful.

“We’re just encouraging people to come out and use this beautiful resource in the middle of town. It’s a great thing to do on your lunch break. We’re hoping that from September we’ll be able to do a weekly event, when people would like to stay active for the winter.

“There’s a lot of activities for people who want to do a run, like the Park Run, but we’re encouraging people who want to bridge the gap from doing nothing to getting active, to take 20 minutes during their lunch hour for a walk and get moving,” said Corinne.

Corinne was joined by a small but enthusiastic group for the mile-long walk and with the Town Park looking so amazing at lunchtime today (as you can see by the photos below) it really is a great place for a stroll…
