WELL the Circus Festival has certainly brightened up a crap weekend weatherwise!
All through the past few days, performers have been providing street entertainment and workshops all over town and Saturday’s show in Siamsa was an amazing collage of talent from the many talented people who’ve come to the town for the weekend.
Speaking on Saturday to Con Horgan of Fanzini Productions, Director of the National Circus of Ireland, he said the festival was a huge success.
“It’s going very well, all guns blazing for the weekend. We’ve had really good turnouts for the workshops, the convention numbers were really good, we had a fantastic night here in Siamsa for the ‘Water On Mars’ Irish premiere and there is such a buzz around town, it’s great to see it,” said Con.
And the weather hasn’t got them down…
“Well a lot of our events are indoors anyway. We planned it for November so we know what the weather can be like. We have the parade on Sunday at 3pm and we’re a tough lot the Irish, so hopefully people will come out and support us,” said Con.
The show on Saturday in Siamsa was a huge success with a massive crowd almost filling the auditorium.
This festival is getting bigger and bigger every year and the townspeople should get out there and support it.
The parade comes through town at about 3pm tomorrow and for more information about events click here
