IT’S been a while, but the traditional photoshoot with Dáithí Ó Sé and the Rose contestants to launch RTE’s coverage of the Rose of Tralee took place on Sandymount beach on Tuesday morning after a break of three years.
The popular Rose of Tralee host enjoyed an ice-cream and a chat with the contestants before the ladies headed off to continue their Rose tour, this time taking in visits to Wicklow and Leitrim.
The Roses broke into two separate groups with one visiting Powerscourt Gardens,
Glendalough Monastic Site and Lake Walk and Brittas Bay in Wicklow, while the other group will visit Acres Lake and The Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo, Leitrim.
The 2022 Rose Tour will take in more sights in Wicklow, Limerick and Cork during the week before the Roses arrive in Tralee on Friday for the 2022 Rose of Tralee International Festival. Scroll down for photos…
