THERE was great excitement and anticipation as the Under 10 Girls Team from Kerins O’Rahillys set out on Monday morning on the road to Croke Park to play in the Ladies Gaelic Football Association’s Under 10 Go Game Blitz.

This was a huge honour and a very proud moment for the Under 10 Girls, their coaches, parents and the club.

Two clubs from each county were represented in Croke Park. The Go Games are small sided/modified versions of Ladies Gaelic Football which have been devised for children up to and including U12 age level.

Go Games can be played by a club, school and/or community team. All girls get to play during the course of the games.

The girls played against four teams from Kiltubrid, Co. Leitrim, Annaghdown, Co. Galway, Delaneys, Co. Cork and Charlestown, Co. Mayo.

The girls played fantastic in all games and showed great skills and camaraderie.  They each received a GAA medal to add to their collection which will be treasured along with the memories made on the day.

The girls were filled with pride and joy on the journey home, Roy and Eleanor from “Sandy Feet Farm”  who are always supporting the Club kindly treated all the children and those who travelled to a meal in Barack Obama Plaza. Scroll down for photos by John Walsh…
