AN explosion of colour, great music and tasty food was on show at Holy Family this week for Culture Week at the school.
The school boasts children from 19 different countries so there was so much to learn for both pupils and staff.
“It’s really for pupils to learn more about each other’s cultures,” said languages teacher, Sarah Been when we called on Friday.
There were maps and tables with items from Africa, China, other parts of Asian and Eastern Europe.

There was also Irish dancing and music, while the highlight for some was a vast buffet of food from all the different countries supplied by the pupils’ parents. We tried some and it was a delicious spread.
“The food comes from Poland, a Lithuanian salad, a Syrian breakfast, Chinese dishes and many more,” said Sarah.
“It’s been a great week, the fourth, fifth and sixth classes undertook projects on show here as well so it’s been really enjoyable,” added Sarah. Scroll down for photos…
