THERE was amazing style at the Rose Hotel on Friday for the inaugural Pieta House Masquerade Ball.
Around 125 guests enjoyed the glamorous €100-a-head black-tie affair and they made the effort with everyone wearing masks on the night.
Mary Stapleton-Foley of the HR Suite was head of the organising committee for the event and she was very pleased with the response.
“I’m absolutely thrilled with the turnout and I can’t believe how many people went to such efforts. They came in masked and dressed in their gorgeous evening gowns. The style is absolutely amazing. But it’s all about raising funds for Pieta House, that’s the important thing,” said Mary.

There was also a donation of €5,000 from the Dorothy Moriarty Henggeler Memorial Fund presented to Joan Freeman Founder of Pieta House on the night.
Donal Walsh’s parents Elma and Fionnbar were also in attendance as guests of Joan Freeman, while the The Light Opera Society of Tralee performed the famous song ‘Masquerade’ from Phantom of the Opera at the drinks reception prior to the main event.
Orlagh Winters handled the MC duties with aplomb while Midnite Cafe had the place rocking until the early hours. Scroll down for photos from the event (we’ll have more tomorrow)…
