JUNIOR Infants familiarising themselves with their surroundings on Thursday as they began their education at schools around town.
At Moyderwell Mercy there were 52 children in the two classes getting to know each other and their teachers, Ms Sarah Daly and Ms Ciara O’Sullivan.
There were a few anxious little ones but they settled in quickly Ms O’Sullivan told us. Presentation Primary was also a hive of activity in Ms Foley’s class but all went smoothly as usual.

There are seventeen pupils going into Junior Infants in Holy Family so they’ll get plenty of attention from Ms Morrissey, while just four pupils were welcomed into the St John’s Parochial School’s family.
It was also a very busy day in St Brendan’s NS in Blennerville, as Ms O’Sullivan got to know 30 new arrivals to her class. The fun is only beginning for parents, pupils and teachers! Scroll down for photos…
