THE weather forecasters said it wouldn’t be the greatest of days, but the sun shone for Caherleaheen NS pupils making their First Holy Communion yesterday.
The Church of the Immaculate Conception was packed on Saturday morning as the class of 30 boys and girls celebrated a milestone event in their young lives.
“It was a beautiful say with a great turnout of family, friends and past pupils,” said Principal of the school, Donal O’Connor.
“”The children really enjoyed the day.We had a fantastic choir and great musicians in Tadhg and Katie and we’re happy with how everything went. The Parents Association organised food and refreshments for families in the school hall afterwards, while the kids played with each other before going off with their families for the rest of the day,” he said.
