IT’S been a hectic couple of weeks for the third class pupils at Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn.
After six months away, they resumed their education on Thursday, August 27, meeting old friends and getting used to the classroom environment again.
Then, just over a week later they made their belated First Holy Communion at St John’s Church on Saturday morning.
There were nearly 40 pupils and their families at the church over the two separate ceremonies — one in the morning and the other in the afternoon for each class.
The pupils — who were taught by Muinteoir Treasa and Muinteoir Sorcha while in second class — all looked delighted that the day had finally arrived and luckily the weather stayed fine so they could pose outside the church for photos before heading off for family celebrations. Scroll down for photos…
