If you want to see top basketball action in Tralee this season, you better get there early!
The Tralee Regional Sports and Leisure Centre was full nearly half an hour before the start of Irish TV Tralee Warriors first home Superleague game of the season against Belfast Star on Saturday night.
A large crowd of people had to be turned away at the door, proving the appetite for top basketball action in town is very healthy.

And those lucky enough to be present saw a winning home start in an electric atmosphere as Warriors won by 63 to 56, with Ryan Leonard excelling with 16 points.
They didn’t have it their own way though and were behind at the end of every quarter until when it really mattered.
After the first quarter they were 14 -16 behind, they trailed 31 – 35 at the half-time buzzer. They were down by just two points at the three quarter stage, 47 – 49, but finished well to take the points.
After last week’s away loss to the champions UCC Demons, getting off the mark was a big boost to the lads.
A fantastic win and the crowd really got behind the team. This is certainly going to brighten up the weekends in town and it’s just the beginning! Scroll down for action shots from the game…
